  • * This brief prologue sets the stage by helping you understand today’s dynamic workplace, the steps you can take to adapt to the job market, and the importance of creating an employment portfolio and building your personal brand.

Course Objectives (Learning Outcomes) 

This course teaches you how to send and receive information more effectively and helps you improve your communication skills through practice in an environment that provides honest, constructive criticism.

Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:

  1. Understand fundamentals of business communications
  2. Discover how to collaborate in team
  3. Listen effectively, master nonverbal communication and participate in productive meetings
  4. Learn about  communicating across cultural boundaries
  5. Design vision, mission and motto/mantra of business
  6. Learn 3 step process that helps you write effective business messages, and you’ll get specific tips for crafting a variety of business messages using a wide range of media, from social networks to blogs to online presentations
  7. Write and complete reports and proposals
  8. Define, evaluate and solve the communication and public relation problem
  9. Developing oral/online presentations; enhancing presentations with visual
  10. Build your career and write resumes
  11. Apply and interview for employment
